Dalton Utilities Quota Hunts

Dalton Utilities, in cooperation with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), will be holding three quota hunts for deer during the 2020 hunting season.  Selections for these hunts will be drawn randomly. 

We are no longer accepting applications for the deer hunt at this time.

Those randomly drawn will be notified by the end of the business day on Wednesday, September 23. WE WILL ONLY email those who were randomly drawn. Please check your SPAM folder for your acceptance email. If you DO NOT receive an email then you were NOT randomly drawn. Please try again next year.

*Quality restrictions may change and will be announced at mandatory orientation.

Legal Weapons:

Firearm Hunts – .22 caliber or larger centerfire rifles and handguns, shotguns with slugs (no buckshot), muzzleloading firearms, bows and arrows, and crossbows may be used.

Additional Information:

  • Applications must be submitted online at www.dutil.com/las-hunts.
  • Applicants must have a valid email account to receive acceptance notice concerning hunts. WE WILL ONLY email those who were randomly drawn. If you DO NOT receive an email then you were NOT randomly drawn. Please try again next year.
  • We will be participating in the DMAP Program this season. Either Sex Date are approved by DNR.
  • Applications must be received by the end of the business day on Monday, September 7, 2020. Those randomly drawn will be notified by the end of the business day on Wednesday, September 23.
  • Youth Hunt applicants must list names of both adult and child. 
  • You must fill out an application for each hunt you wish to participate in
  • Only one application per hunter will be accepted.  Hunters that send more than one application will be disqualified.
  • All hunters will be given assigned hunting areas.
  • All hunters selected for a hunt must report to the check-in station between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the day before the hunt for mandatory orientation, assignment of hunting area, and scouting.  Failure to report by 5 p.m. will result in disqualification from the hunt. (Hunting will be permitted after checking in if season is open.) 
  • Hunt schedules are subject to change. Dalton Utilities will assess the results of each hunt and will make the necessary adjustments to provide maximum availability to hunters, while assuring optimal performance of the Land Application System.

No baiting will be allowed.
