Dalton Utilities’ water plant operator Dale Stanley was named Georgia Association of Water Professional’s (GAWP) 2011 Top Op Award winner for Georgia District One at GAWP’s Spring Conference & Expo in Macon on April 19, 2011.
Stanley joined the Utility in November 1984 working on the Grounds Crew before training for certification as a water plant operator. In addition to his Class 1 Water Certification, Dale has obtained additional certification as a Water Laboratory Analyst.
Dale and his wife, Joy, are proud parents of daughter Shanna, age 23, and 14 year old son, Kyle.
Individuals selected as GAWP Top Ops represent the best drinking water and wastewater professional operators throughout the state. This award is conferred annually to a water/wastewater treatment plant operator who has demonstrated consistent and outstanding contributions to the drinking water treatment profession.
