Dalton Utilities will be conducting a youth duck hunt on its Land Application Facility located in Murray County, Georgia on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from daylight to 2 PM. Hunters ages 12 to 16 years old are eligible to apply for the hunt. Legal weapons for the hunt will be shotguns with non-toxic shot. All youths must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older at all times. The deadline for applications for the hunt is DECEMBER 4, 2012 at 5 PM.
The DNR Wildlife Resources Division, in cooperation with Dalton Utilities, will be conducting two youth duck hunts on Dalton Utilities Land Application Facility located in Murray County, Georgia.
Dalton Utilities will be holding three quota hunts for deer during the 2011 hunting season. Selections for these hunts will be drawn randomly by the DNR. Applications must be received by 10 a.m. September 13, 2011.
On January 8, 2011, fifteen young hunters, ages 12 to 15, participated in a Youth Duck Hunt on the Dalton Utilities’ Land Application System facility located along the Conasauga River in Whitfield and Murray counties. The hunt was organized by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Dalton Chapter of Ducks Unlimited in concert with Dalton Utilities. This was the first Youth Duck Hunt hosted on the Dalton Utilities facility.
