Beware of Utility Phone Scams!!

From time to time, we learn from customers that they have received calls about their utility balances being overdue, and the caller asking them to pay over the telephone.  Please be advised that AT NO TIME will Dalton Utilities or OptiLink call you and ask for you to pay over the telephone.  We have several measures in place for customers to quickly pay forgotten or overdue bills which are our online payment and pay-by-telephone service (which is an outside service not housed in our facility).  If someone calls you claiming to be from Dalton Utilities or OptiLink asking for immediate payment, please discontinue the call, and call our offices at 706-278-1313 (Dalton Utilities) or 706-529-1313 (OptiLink) to inquire about the current status of your account.
