Current Water Restriction: Non-Drought
Effective June 2, 2010

Under Non-Drought Response Level, outdoor water use is allowed every day between the hours of 4:00 p.m. & 10:00 a.m. for LANDSCAPE USE ONLY. All other outdoor water use – cleaning, recreation, etc. – remains on the previous schedule of three days a week on an odd/even basis with no hourly limits.
For this non-landscape outdoor water use, odd-numbered addresses may use water outdoors on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Even-numbered or unnumbered addresses and may use water outdoors on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Sprinklers are allowed in this level of restriction. For a listing of exemptions, click here.
Surcharge imposed for each violation: $50 for all customers.

Water Conservation
Water is a vital resource that's easily taken for granted. In recent years, parts of the southeastern United States have experienced drought or near-drought conditions. To ensure that water is there when you need it, Dalton Utilities has adopted the following water conservation plan.

No outdoor water use is allowed on scheduled days between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight. Surcharge imposed for each violation: $100 for all customers. |

Mandatory. Odd-numbered addresses may use water outdoors only on Sundays. Even-numbered or unnumbered addresses and golfcourse fairways may use water outdoors on Saturdays. No outdoor water use is allowed on scheduled days between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight. All non-essential outdoor water use is banned. Surcharge imposed for each violation: $200 for residential customers and $2,500 for commercial/industrial customers. |

ALL outdoor water use is banned except for watering vegetable gardens, newly installed landscapes (less than 30 days), nurseries, professional car washes, etc. Click here for full list of exceptions.
