Oil and Grease Program

To protect the integrity of our wastewater collection system and the health of our treatment plants, Dalton Utilities’ Oil and Grease Program requires that businesses in the food service industry producing grease and oil waste apply for a permit. A grease trap is required for all facilities participating in our Oil and Grease Program to protect Dalton Utilities’ collection system from grease blockages which cause sewer backups and overflows.
 
Wherever possible, we provide electronic access to forms and tools that speed the application process and ease the process of compliance.
 
Tools You Can Use

• Food Service Facility Wastewater Discharge Permit Application: Required. The information requested allows Dalton Utilities to comply with Federal Regulations concerning discharges to the wastewater collection system.
